Billy Che Quintana is a warm gentle soul who loves helping people. He believes each patient is a unique individual tailoring each treatment to their needs at that time. In doing so, he loves to blend acupuncture styles, treatment methods, acupuncture point combinations, and Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic paradigms. With a strong background in western sciences he often incorporates modern knowledge of muscles, muscle groups, trigger points, and body kinesthetics.
He has over 10 years of clinical experience and maintains his license of Acupuncture with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). He earned his Master’s of Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CSTCM), now called Colorado Chinese Medicine University (CCMU) in Denver, Colorado and is certified as a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Continuing to be active in the academic community he teaches basic biochemistry and supervises in the student clinic at CCMU.
Billy loves to learn and enrolls frequently in continuing education programs. He obtained a certificate from the Center for Rejuvenation Acupuncture LLC where he obtained knowledge in skin health and a unique style of acupuncture to reduce fine lines, lift the face, and encourage radiant skin. He also holds a Level 1 Certification from the Neuro Acupuncture Institute in Santa Fe, NM, with extensive knowledge in treating neurological ailments using scalp acupuncture. Currently, he is enrolled in a program studying the 5 elements style of acupuncture to better address mental emotion related ailments.
With a strong interest in LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer) health issues Billy strives to ensure that the LGBTQ community has access to safe and friendly healthcare services. He currently maintains his membership with the GLMA (Gay and Lesbian Medical Association) and is always looking for ways to be involved in the LGBTQ community.
